The DP PerMix Ribbon Blender is well suited for mixing of dry powders, granules & viscous pastes homogeneosuly.A maximum mixing ratio of 1:500,000 can be achieved, which means you can get the desired proportion of constituents in as small as 1 gram in a batch of 500 kg.
The DP Permix Ribbon Blender uses a specially designed mixing agitator with dual ribbons inside a U-shaped working trough.
Basic Working Principle-The Ribbon Blender consists of an electrical motor, a gear box and a shaft with double ribbons placed in a U-shaped vessel.External & internal ribbons are designed to push the powder material from the centre to the two ends of the vessel and vice versa. The powder material is also lifted up along the ribbon edges but then drop due to gravity. This three-dimensional action facilitates the mixing of the powder in short time with low power consumption.

The DP PerMix PVR series Vertical Ribbon Blender stands vertically same as our PNA series Conical Screw Mixer. PVR is an efficient and versatile blending machine for batch mixing of free-flowing powders. PVR series Vertical Ribbon Mixers are able to give perfect result of mixing due to the innovative design of an outer spiral type mixing element with an inner screw, rotating together in a conical shape trough allowing a complete discharge of all the mixed material without any residue.

Working Priciple
The construction of DP PerMix PVR series Vertical Ribbon Mixer is very compact: it consists of a cone vessel with the drive unit on the top and discharge valve at the bottom. In the cone vessel, there are a central tapered ribbon with very small clearance between its edge and the wall, and additionally a screw mounted on the central shaft.

The ribbon and the screw move the materials upward from the bottom to the top, where the materials then drop by gravity into the center. During this continuous operation, material particles and heat are exchanged quickly which leads to a homogeneous product.

Besides, the material particles are mixed with minimal mechanical and thermal stress, which makes this type of mixer a good solution for fragile and heat sensitive product.

Working Principle

A spiral screw (or two, three screws according to specified application) inside of the DP PerMix PNA series Conical Screw Mixer rotates by its own axle parallel and near the wall of the cone vessel. It lifts the powders around it from bottom to the top, and then the powder falls down due to the gravity. At the same time, the spiral screw rotates around the center of the cone like a planetary, so that the powders in every corner of the cone can be mixed by the screw.

The DP PerMix PTS Plough mixer has been designed by our Israeli team of engineers.
This versatile Mixer can handle a wide variety of materials from dry powders, granular materials to moist solids and liquids and highly viscous material as well. An accurate mixing trace elements in the proportion of 1: 1,000,000 can be achieved through this efficient mixer.

Construction

The machine consists of a centrally mounted horizontal shaft that rotates within a cylindrical container, plough shaped mixing elements that are attached to the centrally mounted shaft, special openings at the top for feeding materials, flush fitting access doors in the front of the mixer, a flush fitting discharge valve at the bottom of the mixer which is pneumatically or manually operated, and a complete drive unit.

Operating Principle

The mixing drum of a Plough Mixer is filled from 30% to 70% capacity, allowing space for individual particles to be dispersed within the main area of the mixer. The paddle-shaped mixing elements create intense axial and radial movement causing the product to move throughout the mixing area. The shape and angle, together with the adjustment and rotation of the mixing elements and the mixing drum, cause the product to be lifted off the surface of the drum wall. The product is automatically discharged while the machine is still running so that any segregation is prevented.

Special Design with Choppers

The installation of DP PerMix Multi-chopper in the basic PTS mixer enables the breaking down of agglomerates during the mixing process. Together with the mixing element, the PerMix Multi-chopper removes lumps in the initial product, chops pasty adhesives and hinders the formation of agglomeration during the moisturizing of powdered substances. The PerMix Multi-chopper is operated independently by its own motor

Lab & Pilot Model

DP PerMix is able to offer lab & pilot size plow mixers for Research & Development purpose. The small size machine is very helpful for customers when the ingredients for R&D are expensive, and to meet the budget limit at the first stage.

Working Principle

The DP PerMix PFB series Twin Paddle Mixer consists of paddles with special angles that are mounted on twin shafts in a ‘W’ shaped trough. During operation, the two shafts are rotating in opposite direction.

The paddles sweep the entire bottom of both troughs, and materials are lifted floating between the two shafts (as zero-gravity zone) by the centrifugal force generated by the paddles.

At this weightless zone, mixing of materials of different density is easy and fast because material particle can move freely and randomly, regardless of particle size and density. This brings a rapid and highly homogenous mixing.

Special Designs with Overhead Chopper:

Although the DP PerMix PFB series Twin-shaft Paddle Mixer is featured by its gentle mixing at the weightless zone, it can also achieve rough mixings with additional PerMix Pin Milling Bars to be installed on the top of the paddles.

The PerMix Pin Milling Bars are two rapidly rotating bars with pins and a stationary shroud, which introduce high shear force onto the materials during mixing to break soft lumps and agglomerates. In this case, a fill level of 140% of normal capacity is required.

The DP PerMix PDI series High Speed Mixer, also called Mixer Granulator, Wet Granulator, or High Shear Mixer Granulator, is an efficient and versatile blending machine for mixing of dry powders, or granulating with the addition of liquid binder, within a very short time and with excellent cleaning abilities. It is able to give perfect result for mixing due to the innovative design of a central Impeller type mixer with a side vertical Chopper. The proven mixing action of the DP PerMix PDI series High Speed Mixer ensures effective mixing in may applications. Optimal performance is assures with dedicated designs of optional feeding, discharging and installation.

Basic Construction

The PerMix PDI series High Speed Mixer consists of two electrical motors, one reduction gear, coupling, and shafts with the two agitators. The shaft is sealed with special sealing, sometimes with air purge, in a way that there is limited contact between the material and the seal.

Materials are loaded from top side, and the discharge is located at the bottom side. Due to the consistent modular design, the system can be configured individually and easily adapted to the constructional circumstances and specific requirements.

Working Principle
In a DP PerMix PDI series High Speed Mixer, the powders are set in a multidimensional shear flow state and it needs only short mixing time until they are thoroughly mixed.

In case that granulation is required, the spraying system sprays the binder solution into the bowl to agglutinate with the materials and under the combined action of the impeller and chopper, uniform and porous granules are produced. After finishing the mixing or granulation process, powders/granules are discharged through the side discharge with no "dead zone" valve.

V Shaped Mixer

The DP PerMix V shaped Mixer also known as Y Shaped mixer, follows a gentle high-flowing mixing process for solids/solids up to a proportion of  1:100,000. Operating Principle

The DP PerMix PVM series V shaped Mixer has a "V" chamber made up by two cylinders. Powders and granules are fed into the V chamber either manually or by a vacuum conveyor.

A gear motor drives V chamber to roll in 360 degrees. This multi-dimensional motion makes the powders and granules inside tumbling up and down and colliding to each other all the time, and achieve uniform mixing in short time.

The DP PerMix  Drum Hoop Mixer PDR series has been developed to meet increasing requirements for a low batch mixer for the mixing, blending, homogenizing, dyeing of dry powders and granules, particularly in smaller industries or when product changes are frequent as needed.

The DP PerMix PTP-D series Vacuum Mixer Dryer is a turbulent mixing reactor-dryer. It is used as a high-speed paddle dryer, chemical reactor or, if both processes are combined, as a dryer-reactor. They are used with particular success in agglomeration-free rapid drying, heterogeneous reactions with systems of different substances, extraction, sterilization and in general for vacuum, positive-pressure, thermal energy and comminuting aids.

DP PerMix PTP-D series Vacuum Mixer Dryers are widely used in the chemical, metallurgic and pharmaceutical industries among others. Standard sizes range from 3 liters up to 5000 liters and pressure up to 50 bar

Operating Principle

The considerably superior heat transfer characteristics of DP PerMix PTP-D series Vacuum Mixer Dryer are mainly attributable to the fact that external heat applied through the contact surfaces of the mixing vessel and mixing element, supplemented by frictional heat generated during the mixing process. When operating at the usual speed, this accounts for 30 to 35 per cent of the total heat applied. Heat transfer is not inhibited by agglomerates or layers of material adhering to the internal components of the tank. This is largely due to the comminuting units and the high-speed, edge-sweeping paddle agitators, which ensure rapid circulation of the materials at the contact faces.

The DP PerMix PTP-D series Vacuum Mixer Dryer is used for drying operations usually operated at higher than critical speed, at any rate for fine drying after the phase change. In conjunction with the action of the rotary cutter and multichopper units, this causes a large degree of fluidization of the material to be dried and thereby promotes the evaporation of the fluids. The huge rate at which evaporation is effected practically eliminates the need for the usual auxiliary processes, such as scrubbing with solvents.

For drying under vacuum the DP PerMix PTP-D series Vacuum Mixer Dryer can be filled from 50 to 75 percent. By virtue of the rapid change of material at the contact face, optimum use is made of the overall heat exchange area. The built-in rotary cutter unit ensures that the product is free from agglomerates and the grain size is so fine that, as a rule, no subsequent micronizing is required. The filter chamber connected with the vacuum dome has a mechanically or pneumatically-operated device for cleaning the filter. Additional units for the removal of vapour or recovery of solvents take account of individual user requirements.
